PREPARATION:
You will have 90 seconds for your general audition and will be considered for all 3 shows. We realize this is a big range of shows and roles, so prepare what showcases you best. Please prepare a brief monologue and 16-bars of a song, OR 32 bars of a song that showcases your voice and allows you to act. All actors will need to at least carry a tune but some roles sing very little and don’t have solos, so don’t worry if singing is not your strong suit! Please don’t let this deter you from auditioning. If you play an instrument, please bring your instrument to play. A piano accompanist will also be provided so please have your audition pieces clearly marked and ready. Please be prepared with contrasting back up pieces if requested.
Bring a hard copy headshot/photo and a resume stapled together.

SEEKING FOR: INTO THE WOODS
[THE WITCH] Female, Any Ethnicity, 30s - 40s. Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: F3. Sarcastic, ugly, then gorgeous, obsessive protector of Rapunzel who is straightforward and aggressive, but always fabulous. A Powerhouse.
[THE BAKER] Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s - 40s. Vocal range top: G4. Vocal range bottom: Ab2. A harried and insecure baker who is simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He wants his wife to be happy and is willing to do anything to ensure her happiness.
[THE BAKER’S WIFE] Female, Any Ethnicity, 20s - 40s. Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: F3. Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. She leads a simple yet satisfying life and is very low-maintenance yet proactive in her endeavors.
[CINDERELLA] Female, Any Ethnicity, age 20s - 30s. Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: G3. A young, earnest maiden who is constantly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters.
[LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD] Female, Any Ethnicity, Youth/Teens - 20s. Vocal range top: F5. Vocal range bottom: Bb3. A spoiled young girl who is strong-willed, quick-witted, fearless, yet youthful and naive.
[JACK] Male, Any Ethnicity, Youth/Teens - 20s. Vocal range top: G4. Vocal range bottom: B2. The feckless giant killer who is ‘almost a man.’ He is adventurous, naive, energetic, and bright-eyed.
[JACK’S MOTHER] Female, Any Ethnicity, 30s - 50s. Vocal range top: Gb5. Vocal range bottom: Bb3. Browbeating and weary, Jack’s protective mother who is independent, bold, and strong-willed.
[CINDERELLA’S PRINCE/WOLF] Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s - 40s. Vocal range top: Gb4. Vocal range bottom: Bb2. Wolf: Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey. Prince: Vain and gorgeous, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next exciting thing.
[RAPUNZEL] Female, 20s - 30s. Vocal range top: A5. Vocal range bottom: B3. A loopy, but lovely maiden who is sheltered by the Witch and terribly lonely. She yearns to experience the world.
[RAPUNZEL’S PRINCE] Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s - 40s. Vocal range top: E4. Vocal range bottom: C#3. Just as vain and gorgeous as his Prince brother, he is always chasing the newest, most exiting endeavor.
[CINDERELLA’S STEPMOTHER] Female, Any Ethnicity, 30s - 50s. Vocal range top: F#5. Vocal range bottom: A3. The mean-spirited, demanding stepmother of Cinderella.
[FLORINDA & LUCINDA] Females, 20s - 30s. Vocal range top: Ab5. Vocal range bottom: C4. Cinderella’s stepsisters who are black of heart. They follow in their mother’s footsteps of abusing Cinderella.
[CINDERELLA’S MOTHER] Female, Any Ethnicity, 40s - 50s. Vocal range top: F4. Vocal range bottom: E4. Deceased with her soul guarding and aiding her daughter from a tree.
[THE STEWARD] Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s - 40s. Vocal range: Ensemble singer. A man-servant who is used to doing whatever he has to solve a problem. His only care is to please his master or the strongest personality in the room. Conniving, callous and cowardly.
[CINDERELLA’S FATHER] Male, Any Ethnicity, 50s +. Vocal range: Ensemble singer. Out of touch with his family but harmless and well-meaning. No solo singing.

[MASQUE OF RED DEATH] Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s - 40s. Dancer/Mover, comfortable being shirtless. Must have a strong sense of improv. Ability to sing a plus.
SYNOPSIS:
An immersive, interactive look at Poe’s final days set in an insane asylum where nurses transform into his most famous stories as he grapples with his sanity and mortality.
